Oil pastel is a wonderful medium for drawing and sketching.
It is a dry medium, easy to paint with and portable.
Pigments can be blended using fingers or blending stumps.
They can also be blended with brush moistened with most oil paint solvents like linseed oil, turpentine etc.
These can be scraped, superimposed or blended on paper to create wonderful effects.
